As a Toivo facilitator, you can organize your own group with a co-facilitator sponsored by MIELI Without Borders to promote well-being and empower one another.
Group meetings with themes of health and well-being
Toivo groups meet between 6 and 8 times and in each meeting, they focus on topics related to health and well-being such as healthy food, physical exercise, sleep, relationships, stress, emotions, nature, art, etc.
The TOIVO peer support group model is developed with the thought of “act-feel-apprehend”. This means participants decide together on something to do, upon which they have a discussion on the emotions the act evokes in them.
Through this training, you will strengthen your group facilitation skills, understand better the role of mental health in integration, and get to know the TOIVO model and themes. The next Toivo facilitator training: August 21st – 22nd from 16-18:30
Once you have taken the training, you are free to start your own TOIVO peer support group with the help and support of MIELI Without Borders and MIELI ry.
