KOTU Training
Welcome to the free two-day KOTU training in collaboration with Mieli ry! This training is about Mental Health as a prerequisite for integration and is meant for people interested in understanding and supporting the mental well-being of immigrants.
The objective of the training is to better understand the impact of migration on mental health to better be able to support mental health and thus integration of newcomers. The certificate training is based on Mental Health Resilience -training and is offered by MIELI Mental Health Finland in cooperation with MIELI without Borders. The two-day training is composed of lectures as well as group discussions. Attendance on both days is mandatory.
The training will take place face-to-face in Helsinki:
Friday, 26th of January from 09:00 to 16:00 and
Saturday, 27th of January from 10:00 – 15:30
The venue will be announced soon.
The training is conducted by Melis Arı-Gürhanlı.

Mental Health Mondays
We’re excited to introduce a new series of workshops.
These workshops will take place once a month, starting with October 16th, 2023, at 6 pm. The meetings will always be held at the LUCKAN integration center, Yrjönkatu 27, Helsinki.
This month, we’re diving deep into a crucial topic: loneliness. We’ll explore why it can be a real challenge and, most importantly, equip you with strategies to overcome it.
Feel free to bring along your friends and let’s create a supportive and understanding community together.
And mark your calendars for our upcoming “Mental Health Mondays” on November 13th and December 11th.

Wellbeing in Pregnancy
MIELI Without Borders organizes this regular group in cooperation with THE NEST DOULAS and MIITTI to create a space for expecting mothers where they can connect with other pregnant ladies, find valuable information around pregnancy and motherhood as well as participate in discussions and activities.
All activities will be in English and free of charge.
The group sessions will take place in a cosy venue in Lapinlahden Lähde, Helsinki: Avoin Tila on the ground floor of Venetsia building.

We are organizing a monthly online meet-up on the first Monday of each month called Sharing & Caring! We will be discussing various topics and issues related to how integration affects one’s mental health in Finland. Though everyone is welcome to join the Sharing and Caring Mondays, the topics we will be discussing are targeted at those living in Finland with a foreign background.

Discussion series with Eszter Kiss
In this discussion series with psychologist and career coach Eszter Kiss, we will talk about our experiences and feelings around integration in a safe group. We will then organize our thoughts by creating art.
